BACKGROUND AND TRAINING

Kelly S. Fisher is a licensed professional counselor with over 23 years experience in providing therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Alabama A&M University. With a specialty in trauma counseling and PTSD, her clinical experience includes The National Children’s Advocacy Center and Hope Place Women’s Shelter.   Kelly utilizes EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as a primary therapy technique with many patients. She has been successful in treating multiple issues including anxiety, depression, lowered self esteem, grief, phobias, abuse and pain disorders with a combination of EMDR , Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic (CBT) strategies and skills building.

SERVICES

Kelly’s services include psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults. Kelly blends EMDR, CBT and play therapy approaches to provide counseling in an emotionally safe environment at critical points in the lives of people. This type of treatment allows patients to discover new approaches and solutions to ineffective patterns of thinking and behaving.
