BACKGROUND AND TRAINING

Tracy Harris has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama since 2004 and a National Certified Counselor since 2006.  Tracy earned a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Alabama A & M University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  Tracy has over 17 years of experience in the profession.  For more than 12 years, Tracy served as a Program Manager for an Intensive Outpatient Program in which she provided individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents with substance abuse, legal, behavioral, emotional, and family problems.  Tracy has also worked in inpatient settings with adults who have emotional and/or substance abuse issues.

SERVICES

Tracy began private practice in 2014 and serves children, adolescents, and adults.  She provides individual, couple/marital, and family therapy.  Tracy enjoys working with clients from all walks of life and uses an eclectic approach to meet the specific needs of each client. Tracy is certified in Motivational Interviewing and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).  Tracy has also presented on the topic of Self-Harm at several workshops.
