Ida is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama that specializes in trauma informed care. She has a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is currently in a doctorate program at the University of the Cumberland. Ida has extensive experience as a mental health professional in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  Her passion is trauma but is also experienced in group and individual therapy for depression, anxiety, anger management, bipolar disorder and much more.

Ida uses an integrative approach that focuses on developing and achieving goals in a collaborative way between therapist and client. Ultimately people are individuals with differing needs and wants, therefore therapy needs to be customized to those needs. The treatment is planned around an individual’s strengths and considers differing worldviews. She utilizes brain-based hypnotherapy, mindfulness, meditation and EMDR to process difficult traumatic events. Ida sees children, adolescents and adults.
