Jennifer graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1998 and obtained a Masters in Social Work degree in 2004 from Alabama A&M University. She has worked in a community mental health setting, helping children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and adjustment issues. She has most recently worked in a medical setting, helping adults with chronic illness deal with coping and quality of life issues. Jennifer is often found participating in outdoor activities, such as hiking, caving, or kayaking. This deep love of nature led Jennifer to obtain certification as a nature therapy guide in 2020.


Jennifer uses an integrative therapeutic approach to meet the needs of individuals and families. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, client-centered, and strengths-based techniques with an emphasis on mindfulness. Jennifer has recently been certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
