Background and Training
Dr. Keri A. Bressette is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Alabama and the state of Georgia with a specialty in both Clinical Psychology and School Psychology. Dr. Bressette obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, her M.S degree in Clinical Psychology from Mississippi State University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Arizona. She has completed specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, disruptive behaviors, developmental delays, anxiety, trauma, and neuropsychological assessment. She has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of developmental, educational, emotional, and behavioral disorders among diverse child and adolescent populations as well as parent training for these populations. She also received a special certification in the area of behavioral supports.
Dr. Bressette provides comprehensive evaluations to assess for autism, ADHD, and various anxiety, mood, behavioral, and trauma disorders evident from infancy and toddlerhood through older adulthood. These evaluations help provide essential information for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning.
She also provides individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults for neurodevelopmental, emotional, behavioral, and trauma disorders as well as provides parent training. Dr. Bressette believes in a collaborative approach to treatment and intervention and works with an individual’s community and other providers to ensure continuity of care. She believes all people have potential and strengths and her individual approach ensures that the client is cared for based on his or her specific needs. Her style is warm, empathic, genuine, and caring, and her overall goal is to help kids, teens, young adults, and parents feel safe, supported, connected, and stable in order to reach their full potential.
